About 莲旺Lian Wong B.B.Q Restaurant

Located at 6824 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149, 莲旺Lian Wong B.B.Q Restaurant operates as a cantonese restaurant serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. You can reach 莲旺Lian Wong B.B.Q Restaurant at (215) 613-6261; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The service attitude was very poor; they only accepted cash. They didn't tell us before ordering, and when finished, we didn't hava cash, they told us to go to the ATM at seven eleven. When we arrived, no one helped us place the order. We were told to wait until their staff finished lunch.

Great meal. All the food was delicious. The fried items weren't oily at all, very crispy yet tender inside. The seafood was fresh. Clams didnt have any with sand. Fresh food. 1) Stir fry clams with fried baby shrimp 2) Black pepper pork chops 3) Fried intensines + jellyfish/ pickled radish underneath 4) Snow pea shoots with garlic 5) Fish and tofu clay pot/casserole 6) Seafood delight (with scallops, shrimp, squid, snow peas, broccoli, carrots and celery)

Food is nasty, no flavor and not even hot when it comes right out of kitchen, if you paying average $30 a dish of Cantonese food, you do expect that they can COOK, but so disappointed. Don't even mention the service. When customer have an issue about the food and service, shouldn't the so call management try to solve the problem instead of escalate it.

On a separate instance I found egg shell pieces in my noodles that were lacking much flavor. However their management, service and food are truly horrible. Not to mention the establishment is a mess, especially in the rooms. After the owner changed, the place has been on a decline. Booked a room and was kicked out after 10 minutes because of poor management. Confirmed the room in person and on call, was told they’d call back if there was a problem. The establishment is cramped, the rooms are oddly shaped, painting is slobby, the tea kettles are stained disgusting and can be easily scrubbed off with a chopstick scratch inside the kettle, you can tell that the kettle has not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. There was a pile of salt on the peanuts that are disproportional to the serving of peanuts. If you plan on going here you should definitely take a look inside the rooms before deciding to book.
